STEPHIE'S BEADS AND BAUBLES

I am beyond shocked that we are already on day 11 in the new  year. Just days away from two weeks in. It is already flying by.

I wish I could tell you I have gotten a lot done, but not really !! I am working on a project for my friend, still a secret until I finish and send it to her, once she has it and has let me know, I will share here.

I have been getting things together for the store, my little cabinet lease. I sold some during the holidays, not as much as I would have liked, but did sell some so that was a good thing !!

One of the things I sold was some of my purse angels. I made up a bunch and a lady bought eight for wine charms, along with five of my wine glasses. I am going to make some more and at the suggestion of the store owner, some charm bracelets with angels and crosses. She expressed interest on one, and said she knew people would like that sort of thing, so I plan to make some. I love making anything angel, so that will be fun !!

 

 

 

 

I picked up the findings and beads to make some more angels up, unfortunately the drop beads are very hard to find. I have gotten pretty much all of mine from the bead market. Not sure when it will be back in town, so I have to use what I have the the few I can find in Hobby Lobby and Michael’s.

We decided the time had come to get my husbands side of the room done. This entails , as most things progress do, to make a huge mess first, build the bench, and then the mess would get put away. So, we are to the put away the mess part, but it has not happened yet. We are still working on the house and some other things got in the way of him finishing.

So, I will share what it looks like now, which will make you feel , OH, so much better about your space, lol !!

He is off the next two days, so my hope is he can get it put away. I know that is what he wants to do, but we are pulled so many way with projects right now, just not sure what we will get done around here.

On top of all this, our youngest son is leaving for Japan for two weeks and we get to have our grandkitty here while he is gone. I love Kitty, that is her name, lol, and it will be fun to have her here for a couple of weeks. I am so excited for our son, and cannot wait to hear all about his trip when he gets home !!! His big brother, our oldest son, and oldest of our kids,  has been to Saudi Arabia, Kuwaitt and Iraq three times, with the army, but none of the rest of us have traveled overseas. Our son in law has traveled with the army as well. But us civilians have not traveled that far away !! I spend a short time in Mexico as a kid with a friends family. Short trip, we lived in Southern California at the time  !!

Otherwise the year is pretty quiet. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Still deciding what I want to do. So confused. I just do not seem to have the skills to market myself online. I am down to just a couple of things on Etsy and plan to let the store go dormant for now while I figure it out. I am still on my friend Lindas site for a few more months and then I will decide what I want to do there. I have the store for a full six months, I just paid my second months rent, so June 1, I am done there.

We hit thrift stores last Wednesday and picked up a few pretties for Valentines day to put in the cabinet to sell , non jewelry . I have a lot more, but forgot to take pictures. I will take some as I load then into the cabinet.

I love this whimsical house. I trimmed the gold cord to make it neater, just such a cute and unique piece !!

a friend of mine found some like these online  and it said they are shrimp cocktail glasses, weird curved up bowl like base, very pretty and interesting !!

a classic heart dish, lousy picture, but really pretty dish !! Nice size as well. not a tiny thing at all.

not really Valentine, but I love the green crackle glass of this smallish  pitcher !!

I have two of these very pretty pink dishes, ice cream maybe ?

I got a couple of red vases , probably from floral arrangements, but still pretty !!! Both full size !!

 

And to end this post, I wanted to share a cake our youngest daughter did for her oldest daughters birthday this weekend , a very pretty cake, all done free hand.

 

She matched the side of the cake to the edge of the pretty napkins and paper plates  !!

She did this pretty quickly, I am very  impressed. Strawberry cake with lemon cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting. All hand done, but the cake was a mix. Wonderful.

This is how my year is going. I hope yours is going well !!!
