Gearing up for new things

I have been getting all my ducks in a row, whatever that means, lol, but for me, it means getting my studio ready to start creating.

I have my craft area all reorganized and a sturdy heavy duty table set up. I plan to bring home a nice slab or corian I have stored at our rental house, our kids are renting our house from us, we are in an apartment closer to my husbands work, so I will get that when we go down for Thanksgiving and bring that home, and I plan to pick up a pasta machine, I have a nice coupon at Michaels that will make it very affordable !!

So, I am planning on monday to jump in and start creating with my clay. I have done the pendants that I posted earlier and I have done beads many years ago. But I am starting fresh.

I actually have a tupperware full of beads that I plan to bake once I go over them and make sure they look right. Nothing fancy, just the marble look in differant colors, will post pictures next week.

So, it will be fun to start new things and I am excited to be learning something completely new. As a kid I loved playing with clay and would go up the corner market every time I got a dime for some modeling clay. I used to make such intricate little animals and such. I can’t wait to see if that love of clay comes back as an adult and I have as much fun now as I did then, I think I will !!

So, first a wonderful holiday and weekend off with my hard working hubby, and then Monday I am going to play with the clay !!

Thanks for stopping by !!  I hope everyone has a great holiday !!

  2. I cannot wait to see what you make !! I am sure once you have the machine there will be no stopping you !!
I am looking really forward to playing with it too, I have been a bit intimidated by it and I am not sure why ? I am going to find a machine too and get working next week !! It will be fun to see what I can come up with !! From what I can see, there are no limits to what you can do with polymer clay !!
